BARRE with BABY Class
Barre With Baby is a welcoming, 60-minute class designed for parents to work out with their little ones by their side. This classic Barre workout is tailored with postnatal modifications and led by a certified postnatal instructor. Whether you prefer to wear your baby in a carrier or have them resting on a mat nearby, this class creates a nurturing and supportive environment for both you and your child.
Equipment Options: Our instructors may use light and heavy weights, Pilates balls, Pilates rings, long therabands, mini loop bands, gliders, yoga blocks, or yoga straps to enhance your workout. Yoga mats are provided at the studio, so you just need to bring yourself and your baby.*
*It is highly recommended you bring a towel, one will not be provided
What to Wear: Dress in anything you feel comfortable moving in. No shoes are required; you can go barefoot, wear socks, or use sticky socks, which are available for purchase at the studio.
Pace and Modifications: This upbeat yet beginner-friendly class allows you to choose the intensity that feels right for your postnatal body. Special focus is given to core and pelvic floor engagement, with guidance and support from our experienced instructor. All levels are welcome, and modifications are encouraged to honour your body’s needs.
What to Expect: The class includes a gentle warm-up, dynamic movements, and simple cardio exercises that avoid jumping. You’ll work through arm exercises, lunges, wide or narrow pliés, squats, glute work, and core-strengthening moves—all designed following postnatal care fitness guidelines. We also value building community, so each session includes a moment to share milestones or discuss relevant topics, creating meaningful connections among parents.
Crying, feeding, and diaper changes are all part of the experience—no stress, just a safe space for you and your baby to enjoy movement together.
